In May 2019, Instagram Stories announced to expand the use of its customizable augmented reality (AR) effects. With the opening of the platform, we quickly leverage the opportunity to collaborate with Swisse to create the first ever augmented reality IG game and launched in August 2019 in Hong Kong. With this new feature, consumers can create AR effects that are customized to the brand – resulting in consumers creating more user generated content with added variation. More importantly, the content is created based on what our target audiences like, which is highly relevant to the consumers that drives real consumer engagement.
